Native American Elders Speak part 2

Part 2 of the Native Americans Elders

In this segment the Native American Indian Elder speaks of the 7th generation which refers to Leadership and America's forgotten responsibilities. How appropriate of a message! Leadership needs to change their values from power and authority to responsibility. There is a Bill of Rights, and it should have been a Bill of Responsibility especially in our Leadership. Compassion for the future. That's the instruction for survival.

And of the 100 dominant and largest Economic Units in the world- 49 are countries and 51 are corporations. Corporations are the driving force of decision making today. Corporations are not concerned with human rights, or the proper wages of the people working for them. So what kind of decisions are going to be made on our behalf by these corporate states?

Thanks for the information. It is so important that we take a step back and think about what we're doing, and about the future. His gentle voice does this well. I love his admonition that compassion needs to rule.

Thank you for sharing, I had no idea that more companies control our economic resources then countries. That is a very scary fact!

Thank you for your comments. Indeed the veil is thinning with this latest economic crisis to show us how much companies- not countries control and influence the world economy with this latest economic crisis and failed bailout concept.

Thank you for your wisdom and common sense. Oren Lyons came to our homeland of Australia in the 80’s with a delegation of elders – I heard them speak for 3 days and it changed my life, he taught us to start the day at first light with our feet on the earth in gratitude – I’ve done it ever since and it works. Now my life is in service to the ones coming through the ones who are yet to come, we live close to the Mother Earth and help others to realize their connection to the spirit that moves in all things and the sacredness of life. Your work sounds like exactly what I would like to do and your retreat looks wonderful. I am aware of that morning ritual and have often considered it. Although with winter mornings well below zero and windchills often in the double digit negative range it would have to be quick! :) Namaste' thanks for stopping by
